Inverse proportion or Inverse variation is seen in the quantities of more speed, less time and the constant distance.
We know the relation between speed (velocity), time and distance.
Speed = Distance /Time taken
So, Distance = Speed * Time taken
In the above relation, it can be inferred that to maintain a fixed distance (constant value), the speed and the time taken are in inverse proportion to reach other.
When speed increases, the time taken will decrease to cover the fixed distance.
Also, the product of two quantities is a constant value. This is the case of Inverse variation.
